Hey errbody!  I’m in Tehachapi, I’ve been here for a while.  Then I went down to LA to see an old friend.  Now I’m back in Tehachapi and I still have all my town chores to do.  I may be putting off this last stretch of desert a little bit.  Just a tad.  Starting things off with a 40 mile waterless stretch is just bleh.

So I can’t do my usual update.  I’m low on mobile data and this motel wifi is the worst, I can’t even stay connected to it.  So no pictures or anything for now.  Boo.  I imagine I can get something worked out once I hit Lone Pine.. maybe..  Needless to say it’ll be a while before I can do my usual update which makes me sad because I got some awesome pictures this stretch.

So I’m heading out tomorrow or the next day.  Probably the next day so I can get all my things done and leave at a reasonable time. 

Next time you hear from me, I’ll be out of the desert.  I can’t believe I’m saying that.  I wrote in a trail register that I’m amazed I made it this far, and I am.  I knew I could do this but still.. I dunno.  It is also a slightly sad moment, the desert represented the beginning of all this and it’s coming to an end.  I loved almost every minute of it until things got really hot.  But a change of scenery will be nice, and I’m excited to see what the Sierra is like.
